The Entity


The General Inspection of Cultural Activities (GIGA) is an administrative service sponsored directly by the Country, whose missions consists essentially, in controlling and auditing agencies dependent or under the Secretary of the State for Culture. The organization also ensures that supervision of activities and monitoring copyright laws, related rights, artistic creations and fixed venus intended for its realization. 

By adopting an educational strategy, GIGA aims to  to influence attitudes and behavior, especially  among younger citizens, emphasizing the cultural and socio-economic relevance underlying artistic creation and the defense of artist's rights.

The Partnership


The partnership between JDEIC and GIGA dates back to  the "Show of Unknown Authors" competition. On January 22nd 2015, a collaboration protocol was signed with the main objective of articulating the design and dissemination to the school community educational resources that promote knowledge of European values, the European citizenship, copy right and related laws.

Thus some activities are planned such as:

  • Collaboration at the level of content production;
  • The design of an informative, digital leaflet regarding intellectual property, framed within the European dimension;
  • The organization of a joint action;
  • The provision of technical and scientific documentation;
  • The dissemination of content, documents, and publications;
  •  Other initiatives considered to be of interest by both parties.
