1986
Signature of the Single European Act (SEA). Defines the internal market realization in 31 December 1992.
1988
Approval of the "Paquet Delors" to finance measures towards internal market: Common Agriculture Policy (CAP) and Economic and Social Cohesion Policy. Delors proposed budgetary reforms and changes to structural fund distribution.
1992
Signature of the European Union Treaty. Delors had been working on a three-stage scheme to accomplish the Economic and Monetary Union, which was part of this treaty.
Delors and the Jacques Delors Centre
In 1995, his name was given to the Lisbon European Information Centre. Delors was present at the inauguration ceremony and has been cooperating with the Delors Centre throughout the years. He wrote several articles for the Centre`s magazine "Europe New Frontiers" and has been a speecher in some of the Centre`s seminars.
