CIEJD provides information, promotes knowledge and encourages citizen participation in the process of building the European Union. Although our activities are mainly directed to portuguese citizens, Infoeuropa digital library is used by portuguese-speaking countries, we participate in european projects and we are members of international associations. Here are some of the reasons to made this new version of our international presentation in english.

The Centre is part of the Directorate-General for European Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and is also the Intermediate Body in the context of the Management Partnership signed between the Portuguese Government and the European Commission.
